Soul Juice Jam Sessions: Summer Jam

Inspired by London’s improvised jam scene, Q returned home and noticed there were no real spaces for artists to create without an end goal and to fully improvise, connect, and collaborate with other artists, musicians, and producers across the RnB / hip hop / jazz / trad / rap / poetry / funk / Latin / Afro / neo-soul scene. No wonder people were flying away to find their community or a space to belong, everything felt gated. Q created Soul Juice as an attempt to bring people together in person.

The goal is to break hierarchical structures in the music scene, let the subconscious play with no end goal, and give everyone an equal opportunity to collaborate on stage in front of a live audience. There are no songs, everything is fully improvised. Backline is provided, just bring your breakables. Any instrument welcome, dancers welcome, lovers/listeners of music also welcome. Just bring good energy.

Q opens the night with a performance and leading the jam. Plus the D12 Inc. boys on the decks to bring the summer vibes.
