Decoy Octopus Demo One Live (PS1 Jungle Set)

Decoy Octopus is the jungalist alias under which Aran Sheehy releases music inspired by liminal PS1 spaces and game soundtracks. Previously known for his work in the fields of modular synthesis and hardware sequencing, Aran released his debut album 'Overseer' in 2025, which was favourably reviewed by Hot Press and marked him out as a compelling new voice in Ireland's electronic landscape. His first Decoy Octopus EP 'Demo One' was released in April 2026, and this new alias already promises to be Aran's most exciting project to date as it has gained support from prominent voices in the jungle music community including both Thing and Major Void. Aran has also been incredibly active, vowing to release at least 2 Decoy Octopus songs every month for the remainder of 2026.

Aran's live sets are known for his favouring of outboard hardware, synths, and multi-effects pedals, much in the mould of 90's era electronic acts like The Prodigy and Aphex Twin. He is not now and will never be a DJ, Aran/Octopus prefers to perform his songs live on the same equipment they were composed on.
