About

by Add Absurdum

To find her inspiration, a clown rummages through time & art movements, exploring where inspiration comes from, where it went and why art moves us in weird, wonderful ways. A mashup of visual art and clown, THOA was recently developed and performed in 2026 at the Scene + Heard New Works Festival and the Cork Fringe.
Through different artists’ lives and work, the show explores the history of visual art spanning the prehistoric to post-modern movements using clown, props, puppets, and art. This show is for anyone who’s ever been brave enough to pick up a paintbrush, a knitting needle, or chisel.

*All proceeds will be donated to the future of the festival - thanks Add Absurdum!
