There was no cohesion between acts. The lighting over the bar was over powering... Paid to see The Orb..hear their catalogue of tunes with a good system... I'll not be going back to the white rock in the future..

Review of Music For Midwinter

Three fantastic nights of music of which the Idrisi Ensemble was the highlight with Mikey Kenney as a close second. We loved Crown House and Christ Church as venues but found Studio 27 much too cold. Everyone was welcoming and friendly and it was a delight to hear such outstanding music in the middle of winter.

Review of The Wailers

The Wailers were excellent, but we also wanted to see Trevor Nelson & was not even told he was not going to be on stage. This was very disappointing.

I had a great night. I would have liked some air conditioning though..I got so hot dancing

Review of Martin Turner ex Wishbone Ash, Hastings, Friday 6th Sept 2024

Apart from a problem with the sound at the start of their set, the Smyths were fantastic. Wasn't sure if the quirky eccentricity of the front man was part of the act (including his request for warm black tea) but we all bought into it and the campest mosh pit I've ever witnessed brought a joy to the event. 
Oh and Billy Blagg was spot on as well.
