About High School Musical

High School Musical comes to Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre as a new production marking 20 years since Disney’s film became a global sensation. It follows Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High as they navigate first love, friendships and self-discovery alongside classes, basketball games, auditions and peer expectations.

The production uses extended staging and on-stage seating to place the audience inside an East High setting. It is co-directed by Hope Mill Theatre founders Joseph Houston and William Whelton, with choreography by Aaron Renfree, a book by David Simpatico, and music adapted, arranged and produced by Bryan Louiselle.

The show includes songs from the original movie, including Breaking Free, Get’cha Head in the Game, Stick to the Status Quo and We’re All In This Together.

Before you book

Suitable for ages 6+. All children under 16 must have a valid ticket and be accompanied by and seated with an adult.

Accessible performances: Signed/Captioned on Wednesday 11 November at 7:30pm, and Audio Described on Wednesday 18 November at 7:30pm.

Harry Judd (McFly) stars as Coach Bolton, with original HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL film cast member KayCee Stroh as Ms Darbus. Tobias Turley plays Troy, Leonor Correia plays Gabriella, Caitlin Tipping plays Sharpay and Luke Bayer plays Ryan.
