About High School Musical

High School Musical arrives at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre to mark 20 years since Disney’s film became a global sensation. This new production places the story in an immersive East High setting, with extended staging and on-stage seating designed to bring the action closer to the audience.

The musical follows Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High as they deal with first love, friendships, self-discovery, classes, basketball games, auditions and the pressures of their peers. It includes songs from the original movie, including Breaking Free, Get’cha Head in the Game, Stick to the Status Quo and We’re All In This Together.

The production is co-directed by Hope Mill Theatre founders Joseph Houston and William Whelton, with choreography by Aaron Renfree, a book by David Simpatico and music adapted, arranged and produced by Bryan Louiselle.
