The Scientist - LIVE at Stroud Brewery

SCIENTIST performs 'Scientists Rids The World Of The Evil Curse of The Vampires' LIVE at Stroud Brewery for a Matinée show on Saturday 27 February (Scientist on at 3pm).

The legendary Jamaican producer recreates his landmark 1981 dub reggae album in full live + more.

King Tubby protégé Scientist helped pioneer the dub genre in the late 1970's at Studio One gaining a reputation for his distinctive mixing style.

Scientist soon became the prinicipal engineer at Channel One releasing a series of classic albums in the early 1980's such as Scientist meets the Space Invaders, Scientific Dub, Scientists wins the World Cup, Scientist Encounters Pac-Man, Scientist and Jammy Strike Back and, of course, Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires.

Fun fact: five of his songs from the album Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires were used as the playlist songs on the K-Jah radio station in the 2001 video game Grand Theft Auto 3.

We're bringing the Valley Steppas soundsystem in too, with sets from them, Dub on Tap, and GVO feat Kingsley.
