About

SMUT SLAM! Where steamy and storytelling collide...

Scottish summers never guarantee the sun, so let this international smash hit event bring the heat this August...

The high-energy community storytelling experience returns to Glasgow this August with the theme of "DANCING WITH MYSELF"; Oh, yeah, this is all about flying solo, the hanky-self-panky, flicking various legumes, having some real quality alone time... humans can get just as freaky by ourselves as we can with others. TELL US ABOUT IT.

This month Smut Slam Scotland also invites you to take part in Cameryn's intimate post show workshop the following evening -

"How to have challenging conversations about sex": A semi-anonymous, almost entirely experiential workshop with Cameryn Moore

KEY INFO:

Dates: Tuesday 4th August, 7PM (SLAM);

Wednesday 5th August, 7PM (WORKSHOP)

Venues: The Corset Club, The Jacobean Bldg, 49-53 Virginia Street, Glasgow G1 1TS (SLAM);

The Reading Room, Bigglestone's Books, 57 Glassford St, Glasgow G1 1UG (WORKSHOP)

Tickets: from £10 (Slam only); £16 (Slam + Workshop) via Skiddle

The Smut Slam features real-life, first-person s3x stories from the audience, tales from guest judges, and also readings from "The F*ckbucket", a convenient receptacle for all your anonymous questions and confessions!

Smut Slam is proudly sponsored in Scotland by Luke + Jack - Passionate Purveyors of Pleasure Products.

HOW IT WORKS:

THE SLAM: TUE 4TH AUGUST; THE CORSET CLUB 7PM

Audience members sign up to tell 5-minute, real-life, first-person sex stories. A panel of local celebrity judges awards sexy prizes from our local sponsors to the top 3 tellers at the end of the night. In between stories, the host reads anonymous questions and confessions submitted by the audience to the F*ckbucket.

RULES: - no notes - no costumes or props - only five minutes AND - the story must be real and have happened to you.

THE WORKSHOP: WED 5TH AUGUST; BIGGLESTONE'S BOOKS 7PM

Prepare your questions in advance, write them down, and Cameryn, with her 15+ years of sex talk experience, will draw them out of theFuckbucket one at a time to share with the room in a fun yet earnest way. You can choose to claim the question and join Cameryn for a quick 1-on-1 problem-solving and role-play session, or stay anonymous and Cameryn will offer some options and points to consider, with additional wisdom from other participants who may have been in the same situation.

This workshop uses

- storytelling
- moderated group discussion
- role-play
- list-making
- silly doodles
- our collective wisdom and experience

to help you feel more confident approaching challenging conversations about sex, and communicate better with the folks you're having the conversations with.

Please note the workshop has more limited capacity than the slam.

IMPORTANT:

Stories must be about consensual behaviours, activities or events, and should adhere as closely as possible to our Code of Conduct, which can be found on the international website: smut slam [dot] com.

Smut Slam is queer-friendly, kink- AND vanilla-friendly, fat-friendly, sex worker-friendly, virgin-friendly, polyamory-friendly, we're really, really friendly. We welcome people with all types and amounts of sexual experiences.
