Comedy at the Castle - Devon takes place Friday 18th - Saturday 19th July, 2025.

Comedy at the Castle - Devon is held at Powderham Castle in Exeter in the Deer Park with the castle acting as the back drop to the festival.

Yes, you must be 18+ to attend Comedy at the Castle - Devon. Due to the likelihood of some bad language and some adult material, every show is 18+. If you look young please remember to bring some ID.

Yes, they are inside the courtyard of the castle totally out in the open.

Yes, seats are provided and are not reserved. You can purchase Golden Circle Tickets which gives you guaranteed seats on the front block of seating - closest to the stage.

Sadly not, the castle has a no dog policy. This of course does not apply to any guide dogs.

It depends how late to be honest! Comedy at the Castle - Devon starts at 8 but they will have staff on the door letting people in until 9PM so you needn’t worry if you are running just a bit late. Anything after 9PM, you might struggle…

Unfortunately these will only be confirmed on the day of the show. But all shows at Comedy at the Castle - Devon will start at 8PM and will end by 10.30PM.

You can’t, no. Comedy at the Castle - Devon has a huge array of bars and street food stalls doing what they do best to make sure you’re well fed and watered.

Parking is available at Powderham Castle but you must purchase a car park pass when purchasing a ticket.

No! They have scanners on the door at Comedy at the Castle - Devon, don’t worry. 

Yes, email closeupcomedyclub@gmail.com and they’ll find them - or just check your spam! It’ll be there somewhere. The trick is to not panic.

Unfortunately given that the whole magic of the event is that it’s completely open air and inside one of the most spectacular castles in the country - there are no plans to cover the event with huge tents or marquees. If it does rain we encourage you to keep the good old British spirit going and enjoy the show!

Whilst we are very confident that it won’t happen, there can sometimes be the case where an act cancels last minute due to a huge range of reasons beyond their control - they will do their  best to find a like for like replacement if this does happen. We cannot give refunds if an act cancels due to a reason beyond their control.

Unfortunately we can’t issue you with a refund if you can’t make the event due to work commitments or your mates have dropped out. In these circumstances, we advise passing on your tickets privately to avoid losing out on the money spent.

Refunds can only be offered if the event is cancelled or postponed, as agreed upon purchase.
