Edinburgh Dub Club and Messenger join forces again for the 6th Grand Reggae Ball in the historic Portobello Town Hall, an event which is now an essential fixture in the Edinburgh music calendar for all nice and decent people who like to step to the hottest reggae and dub sounds.

Providing the musikal hot-shots from 5pm - 11pm is the original MESSENGER SOUNDSYSTEM - Scotland's original rootical providers with 2 stacks of mighty sound dedicated to the real dubwise vibrations. For this dance they are joined by the legendary London producer and dubplate master GUSSY P of Sip-a-Cup Records. Gussy's studio is responsible for released from a who's who of the UK roots revival such as Mafia & Fluxy, Twinkle brothers, Junior Delgado, Michael Prophet, Winston McAnuff, Judah Eskender Tafari and Top Cat. His records were a staple of Jah Shaka Dances since the 1990's and now for the first time in Scotland, he plays an exclusive selection in person on Messenger Sound. With your hosts PRINCE LIVIJAH (Jah Youth) and ISTA LION keeping the vibes flowing, this is a must-attend dance!

The Decades of Dub bar and authentic Knight's African Kitchen will keep you hydrated and fed in a friendly and quality style.

Those who attended our previous events will know this is an unmissable night of hot reggae music, warm bass vibrations and big dancefloor action promoting unity, community and positivity for the local man woman and child.

Children under the age of 18 are allowed at the event until 8pm under our license conditions.

Tickets cost £12 - £18 + BF in advance (more on the door) for adults and £7 for under 18s (Free for under 5s). This event features loud music and your discretion is advised.
