Stars in the making

Looking for upcoming talent and new music from the D&G area? Look no further! Stars in the Making is an evening to showcase some young local artists with a range of styles to suit all tastes!

First on the nights line up is Deadline - a young band from Dumfries who cover a range of different genres. Although typically playing covers, they have began working on some original music having performed frequently around the D&G area this year!

Pebblebrain is an emerging alternative rock four piece band from Dalbeattie and is second on the lineup for the night. They are known for their vibrant, multi genre approach to the grassroots indie scene, blending catchy guitar riffs, heavy alternative rock undertones, and strong, memorable vocals with deeply introspective lyrics. Having released their latest single ‘Scoreboard’ earlier this year and with much more music on the way, this is not a performance you’ll want to miss!

Headlining the show case is singer songwriter Meg Oli. Typically an acoustic solo act, she will be performing her original music alongside a band for the first time ever! You can stream her debut EP ‘First Take’ that was released earlier this year, featuring her track ‘Rain’ which was played on BBC Scotland’s introducing show!
