Review of Bridgerton Orchestral Tribute - Doncaster

Review of Taylor Swift Orchestral Tribute - Doncaster Minster 7th June

Great idea for an event. We were towards the middle of the Minster, just on the back section of seats and the music wasn't loud enough and we couldn't see the musicians. The narrator was louder than the music. We could hear the person behind us whisper to her friend.  Add to this the bar staff restocking and packing away stock during the performance and it was very difficult to enjoy the performance with them going in and out of the door. Other people around us agreed. We purchased 5 tickets and don't think we will again.

Excellent evening, really good venue, brilliant singer and orchestra.

The NCO were absolutely amazing. The musicality was spot on with hits transcribed for strings, the musicians were so animated.  The narrator spoke clearly and eloquently,  setting the scene for the each piece.  Doncaster Minster set the perfect ambiance and is a mesmerising building.

Loved the event and will definitely book again. Hoping they will do the harry potter one in doncaster. Only niggle was the price of drinks. A small prosecco and pint of lager was nearly £15.

The orchestra was amazing! The songs played were fantastic and we all had a brilliant night

Following the success of last year, this is the first in a series of free summer concerts of popular organ music, played by Dr Simon Lindley, in which he does a tour of Doncaster churches playing on a variety of church organs. The magificant Schulze organ, celebrating its 150th anniversary & one of Europe's most significant organs, of Doncaster Minster provides the perfect launch to the series with music by Mathias, Percy Whitlock & Massenet.
