Review of Road to Nashville | Elvaston Castle | 500 TICKETS LEFT!!!

The performers I saw were absolutely brilliant, but sadly the festival itself was incredibly disappointing. The overall experience felt far more focused on profit than on the comfort, wellbeing, or safety of the people attending.

The weather was unbearably hot, yet there was almost no consideration for how attendees were expected to cope, as almost anything to combat the heat was not permitted. We were originally informed that picnic blank*ts and camping stools would be permitted, only to have them confiscated on arrival. Umbrellas weren't allowed either, leaving people with no option but to stand for hours in direct sunlight with virtually nowhere to sit or find shade.

We paid extra for VIP tick*ts, but there was very little that felt "VIP" about the experience. Seating was extremely limited and clearly insufficient for the number of tick*ts sold. The only shaded area available was a tiny gazebo that could accommodate very few people.

Drink prices were excessive, especially considering the heat, with bottled water costing £3.50 each. There was only one free water station for the entire event, positioned beside the toilets and completely inadequate for the size of the crowd. We also noticed drinks being sold for more than the prices displayed on the stock labels during restocking.

No food vendors sold drinks so long wait at the bar for a warm drink as nothing was staying chilled.

In the end, we had to leave temporarily just to cool down because the conditions had become too much. Despite paying for full-day tick*ts, we were then refused re-entry, while others arriving after us were allowed back in. The explanation given was inconsistent and made little sense.

It's such a shame because the performers deserved far better organisation and treatment of attendees than this. What should have been a great day out ended up being exhausting, uncomfortable, and not enjoyable.

They were also advertising all week that there were hundreds of tick*ts still available, can't imagine more people there as the event was over sold as it was.

I can understand that they cannot control the weather but they could have let people bring chairs, provided more water stations, and more shaded areas.

I have looked at how to complain but cannot find a website or any information on who runs the event/what the company is called.

It wasn't acceptable, the way the security staff treated guests, especially one lady. There was miscommunication between them as well as one said we could leave and come back due to the heat and then we got turned away.

We were only there for 2 hrs due to all of this so was completely a waste of money.

The venue was great. Parking was easy and the staff were helpful and polite.  The acts were awesome and the atmosphere was  great.  There was lots of staff cleaning the site regularly.  The only negative was a little trouble with some of the music backing tracks, but it didn't spoil the experience.  Would definitely go again.

Brilliant, chilled day out. Our only disappointment was that mixers weren't chilled and, with limited ice on an extremely hot day, our expensive G&Ts were actually warm, with no offer of a refund... everything else was spot on and I would do it again. I was especially impressed by the free flowing cold water which was essential. Thanks organisers!

Really enjoyed this event and we were blessed with lovely weather which added to the experience. It was really easy to dip in and out of the main stage without losing your place if you like to get close to those you wanted to see. However, the atmosphere from the main stage was just as good wherever you were stood or sat on your picnic blank*t.

We just attended Road to Nashville at Elvaston Castle, there was a big group of us for a hen do! It was a great set up, with wandering entertainers, rodeo bull and lots of photo props around making it a really fun day! We had VIP so Loos were good and no queues! One thing I would say is - let people bring camping chairs (changed the rules last minute) and have a dedicated line for re-entry, no re entry into a festival day is not ideal. 
Drinks prices were to be expected and the food options were great! We really enjoyed our day and Miley was our favourite! I would definitely recommend and will be going again next year - well done to the organisers- this was a big hit!!! Yeehaw!

Loved it .. more seating required it was ok because it was dry. Also didn't allow folding seating in yet it said that we could till we got to security

They didn't stick to the set list, which was very disappointing especially since there was no entry after 530.It would be good if it could be a family event. It would also have helped if you were allowed to re-enter as we had wristbands on so don't see why it was a problem?

We had an amazing day all 11 of us,  the music was fantastic, the staff were very helpful.  The Accessible toilets were clean.
