Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan + Support

The project of Gordon Chapman-Fox, WRNTDP soundtracks the rise of a northern new town across the mid-70s to early 80s in shimmering arpeggios, spine-shaking chord swells and soaring, euphoric leads. Across six albums and three EPs - and championed by BBC Radio 2, 6 Music and RTÉ, with 2023's The Nation's Most Central Location crowned Electronic Sound's Album of the Year - his music is the perfect score for the building of a new world, or the ending of an old one.

He's joined by Lo Five, the Wirral-based project of Neil Grant, whose melodic, reverb-drenched electronica weaves lo-fi hooks and dark synth ambience into richly detailed soundscapes - "each one a complete exercise in world-building" (Bandcamp). Opening up is Music of a Cluttered Mind, the solo work of UK thereminist and keyboardist Clive Mollart, whose cinematic, textural ambience nods to Jean-Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk and Mike Oldfield.
