Without Borders Festival Cheltenham

The festival is a collaboration between two independent promoters, Hollow Sun Promotions in Yorkshire and Feral Meditation in Cheltenham.

We've both seen firsthand how difficult it can be for emerging bands to build an audience outside their own region. Touring is increasingly expensive, smaller shows are financially risky, and there are some fantastic artists who simply aren't getting the opportunities to reach new audiences.

Without Borders is our attempt to do something about that.

We're bringing together ten bands, five from the North and five from the South, with the entire lineup performing in both cities over the same weekend.

That means two full-day events, twenty live performances and an opportunity for every artist involved to play to an audience they might otherwise struggle to reach.

Musically, we're firmly in the alternative scene, bringing together punk, alternative rock, emo and post-hardcore, with a mixture of established names and exciting emerging talent.

The ambition is to make this an annual event, building connections between regional music scenes and creating a platform that bands genuinely benefit from being part of.

We're not trying to create another conventional festival. We want to establish something that actively encourages bands and audiences to look beyond their own local scenes.
