Wolff Trio

After crossing paths, and circling one another in short lived projects and obscure engagements, the cellist Sonia Hammond and the piano/drums duo of Carolyn Hume and Paul May decided that a dedicated trio was in order.

Once the triangle settled a new music immediately began to flow, a cryptic and exciting force, breathless with vivid ideas and a palpable energy.

The undoubted powers of classical, rock, jazz funk and folk are flung amongst the open fields of improv, idiosyncrasy and the expressive hands of fate, to create a genuinely unnerving whole, an endless fascination, many things at once and profoundly singular.
