Music choice was terrible and not as expected - no crowed pleasers -
I went with 12 friends for my birthday and everyone said how bad the choice of music was. 

Review of DAY SESSIONS - Bristol - March 2026

I would say that I had a great time but that was more due to the people I was with rather than the event. I was so excited to come to the event at this beautiful venue, however, were the sound levels checked before hand? Due to the acoustics, unless you were right in the middle of the dance floor the bass was so loud it was difficult to hear the music. Also, the DJs played some songs more than once, and keeping in mind that the music was across the 80s, 90s and 00s, they had 3 decades of music to choose from, did they really have to repeat some songs?

The venue itself was good but unfortunately the sound just got lost.  We spent half the evening trying to guess what the DJ was playing.

Feels like no sound check took place.... music sound was awful! Read the crowd! Never got going but its ok looked like the Dj enjoyed himself.. his mixing was poor, more like a school disco...

The acoustics were terrible due to echoes throughout the cathedral and we left early due to this

The only downside to this event were the complete lack of portaloos outside of the venue thus causing long queues & also the acoustics within the Cathedral made it very difficult to recognise what song was playing, other than that, it was a great event.

Next time turn the volume down all you cohld hear was an echo

A wonderful venue . Great atmosphere the candles were beautiful. The singers were superb.
