Positive Sounds NYD

On the eve of the new millennium, Positive Sounds threw the biggest underground rave Brighton had ever seen: 2,000 people partying for 12 hours straight in a central industrial warehouse, resulting in a £5,000 fine for the organisers.

Twenty-seven years later, the crew returns to the exact same location-now transformed into a purpose-built venue-for an exclusive New Year's Day party across two rooms from 8pm to 2am.

Main Room

• Richard Grey (Special Guest): Collaborator with Croydon's Swag Records, DJ at London's legendary Kerfuffle and Wiggle parties, and producer behind releases on tech-house staples Rescue Recordings and Eukahouse.
• Simon Atkinson: Positive Sounds resident legend who needs no introduction.
• Rubén Baiz & Oliver Molina (Haptic Records): Returning for their second Positive Sounds performance, this local DJ/producer duo are now firm roster favourites.
• Black Octopus: Brighton's hottest promoter/DJ duo performing an exclusive set in each room.

Room Two

• Kooki (Stu C): Resident Breakspert and Positive Sounds staple since the late '90s.
• Dan Watts: Brighton-based vinyl selector with 35 years behind the decks, including 30 years in the local scene.
• Andy Mac: Carats Café regular stepping away from house music for a special Room 2 selector set.
• Shreddie: Early '90s Positive Sounds stalwart setting the energy for an epic NYD event.
