Galliano was in its inception, about sampling and using as foundational material, specific music put together from a sensibility and curation. This came from a set of clubs , radio shows bands and scenes coming out of the 1980s. To that extent ‘nothing has changed’ . The band stopped in 1997 and a double album release , ‘Halfway Somewhere’ was a returnto gigs and recording in August 2024, albeit 30 years later …

Galliano, released ‘Unreliable Memories of Contested Conversations ‘ on 30th January 2026 , and are currently in the middle of a tour supporting The Brand New Heavies in the UK . A New Album and UK /European tours are being planned for Autumn 2026 as they re assert themselves in the middle of the Boogie Funk Jazz axis.
