1BTN Presents The CJP Band Live! Afterparty w/ Nick the Record

Hailing from the New Forest, the CJP band brings a fully realised live show rooted in authentic, man-made dance music. Performed by a live band featuring horns, strings and a heavyweight rhythm section, the project blends disco, soul, funk and jazz into a sound that's groove-led, musical and built for shared experience 

The approach is intentionally hands-on and organic, prioritising feel, energy and connection over automation or shortcuts.

The band's debut 12", You And Me And The Music, released on Supa Jams in August 2025, quickly gained atention, going through two represses by November. With two new 12"s scheduled for release ahead of summer 2026, the live show contiues to evolve, introducing new material and expanded arrangements.

Support from respected tastemakers including Gilles Peterson, Mr. Scruff, Robert Luis and DJ Nature reflects the band's growing presence with the contemporary soul, jazz, funk and disco scene.

For our after party we are stoked to host local legend, digger, Dj & producer, Nick The Record, who takes to the turntables for a rare Brighton appearance. Nick has been involved in the scene for over 25 years, DJing all over the world, releasing killer edits and selling rare Disco & Soul records to the stars. If you know, you know.
