About

We're delighted to invite you to the launch party celebrating the release of The Mandela Effect, the new album from Dawn of Elysium which will be out on the 22nd September.

Representing the culmination of years of writing and development, much of the album was crafted in our own Idle Hands Studio before being co-produced with Kurt Wood at Cornerhouse Studios and mastered by the legendary Gordon Young.

Built around interwoven sci-fi themes, The Mandela Effect is very much an album intended to be experienced as a complete work. Blending a multitude of influences, it presents Dawn of Elysium's distinctive take on gothic progressive rock/metal.

Joining us for the evening are fellow Yorkshire bands Fail The Enemy and Hemloch, making this a strong three-band bill showcasing some of the region's finest heavy music.

Dawn of Elysium

Dawn of Elysium are a Bradford-based gothic progressive rock/metal band. Originally formed in 2012, the band’s line-up and sound have evolved considerably from humble post-punk and gothic rock beginnings into the distinctive progressive outfit they are today.

Featuring past and present members of Hollow Earth, Ironrat, Lazarus Blackstar, Dark Embrace, Dawnraiser and Purity Cries, “The Mandela Effect” brings together years of meticulously crafted ideas into a unique blend of melody, atmosphere and heaviness while carrying the unmistakable DNA of the West Yorkshire metal scene.

Fail The Enemy

Fail the Enemy are a three piece alternative rock/metal band from Keighley, West Yorkshire. From the original formation in 2015, they have strived to create a blend of alternative rock and metal that captures the essence of their sound. Driven by emotion and hardships, their aim is to make music that tackles sensitive subjects such as mental health and to create songs that people can resonate with and relate to in their own lives.

Hemloch

Hemloch are a Symphonic Metal band, hailing from Yorkshire and Herts. Hemloch channel raw

emotion, delving into the apocalyptic. Summoning the influence of myth, darkness, and the chaos of modern life, Hemloch craft songs that feel both otherworldly and deeply human. They don’t shy away from the void, they challenge it.
