About

Yampy Promotions present Everything Recently + guests.

Everything Recently

Everything Recently are a Birmingham shoegaze band who try to make music that feels like home. Thick, immersive guitars give way to melodic breakdowns and lyrics that are as earnest as possible. Formed by a group of best friends who obsess over every detail, from the songs to the artwork, the band treat sound and image as the same project. After a run of Birmingham support slots, a slot at the O2 Institute and airplay on BBC Radio Introducing, they arrive at this headline show just two days after releasing their debut EP, Still Learning To Speak.

Dogviolet

Dogviolet fuse post-punk grit, gothic atmosphere and folk-tinged melody into something intriguing and hard to look away from. Inspired by the natural world, botanical imagery is woven through their lyrics exploring social injustice, familial challenges and sapphic desire, set against dark sonic hues that feel both polished and raw. Lush, evocative vocals move through layered guitar textures and gradual builds, showcasing Dogviolet’s ability to strike a captivating balance of power and vulnerability.

Founders Naz Toorabally and Ella Patenall met in their year 10 English class, beginning a creative partnership now over fifteen years deep. Dogviolet emerged in 2022, later joined by Lauren Allpress (drums) and Margot Cintract (bass) – four queer women carving out space in London’s alternative scene with confidence and intent.

Live, Dogviolet create an atmosphere that pulls the room into their world, the audience held by haunting harmonies, melodic hooks that won’t let go, and left with the sense that something more than a gig just happened. Visually striking, they carry themselves on stage with the kind of quiet confidence that holds the audience in their spell.

Invited to support Heartworms at Village Underground, The Wedding Present at O2 Institute Birmingham, and L.A. Witch and Whitelands at MOTH Club, Dogviolet are building serious momentum. They have also received support from Radio X’s John Kennedy and coverage in DORK, Louder Than War and Atwood Magazine.

Their debut EP Wilting is expected in September 2026 and is the sound of Dogviolet pushing into new sonic territory – bigger, more distorted and unafraid. As one fan put it, “If John Peel were alive and broadcasting, this band would be touring the country by now.”
