

“Night Birds”,“Down on the Street”, and“Easier Said than Done”are just three of the instantly recognisable tracks of Shakatak, a band at the fore-front of the UK Jazz Funk scene of the early ‘eighties.
Founded in 1980 by Bill Sharpe, Nigel Wright, Roger Odell and Keith Winter, with bassist George Anderson and vocalist Jill Saward joining the band soon after, the band has principally kept the same line-up after 45 years of world-wide touring & performances.
