Ronobir Lahiri

Ronobir Lahiri is a Calcutta‑trained sitarist (student of Sri Deepak Choudhuri, a leading disciple of Ravi Shankar). After nearly two decades in the classical tradition, he began blending sitar with electronic and pop textures, releasingBroad StrokesandHypnosis: Deep House Sitar. He later re‑imagined chart hits as “Sitar Covers,” including 2021’sRedemption Sitar.

He’s recorded with Katy Perry, Ziggy Marley, Jaden Smith and Lil Nas X, and has performed at the Hollywood Bowl with Blue Man Group. He holds a BA in Theater Studies & Literature from Yale University and lives in Los Angeles with his family.
