GENE LOVES JEZEBEL
Formed in early 1980s Porthcawl, South Wales, Gene Loves Jezebel became a defining post-punk/gothic rock band. After UK indie success with Promise and the No. 1 indie album Immigrant, they went international with Discover, featuring US college hit "Desire" and MTV favorite "Heartache." UK hit "The Motion of Love" and tours with David Bowie, , Echo & the Bunnymen, and solidified their status.
Led by Jay Aston since 1989, they've continued releasing acclaimed music, including Love Death Sorrow X (2023), with songs featured across film and TV. Four decades on, they remain a compelling live act worldwide.
DAWN AFTER DARK
Dawn After Dark is an English rock band from Birmingham, formed in 1985.
After building a name on the late '80s UK rock/indie scene with three EPs on Chapter 22, they split in 1991. They reformed for a Birmingham gig in 2019, re-signed to Chapter 22 in 2020, and finally dropped their debut album New Dawn Rising in December 2021 - 35+ years after starting.
Since reforming, they’ve played shows with Balaam and the Angel, Spear of Destiny, and Gene Loves Jezebel, plus The Rising festival alongside Bob Vylan, and Dub Pistols and Xtreme fest in France. .
