Coming from Manchester in the late ‘80s, Gerald Simpson, known professionally as A Guy Called Gerald, gained widespread recognition with his iconic 1988 track "Voodoo Ray", a seminal hit in the acid house movement, as well as his contributions to the development of UK music as part of 808 State. A Guy Called Gerald continues to innovate and perform, captivating audiences with live sets that combine classic acid house with cutting-edge electronic beats.
