Michael Bird Live - Rising Tide

Michael is a singer-songwriter and producer who is based in Birmingham. His music has been featured on platforms such as BBC Radio 1 & 6 and, if you’re familiar with Birmingham’s creative scene, Michael founded the much loved @NEIGHBOURHDBRUM which takes place at Digbeth’s The Night Owl.

His music is an eclectic mix of soulful and folk influences and is available on all streaming platforms.

Rising Tide is a project Michael has been working on for a number of years. It will be his first full-length album release, and the first single from the project; ARMAGEDDON, will be released this November. The project consists of Michael’s own reflections on heritage, identity and spirituality, whilst playing with the contrast of scale between the mythic and epic against the intimate and vulnerable.

The event will take place on Sunday the 29th November in St Martin’s Church, and will start at 4pm. The venue will be open all afternoon, so please be seated before the start of the performance.After Michael performs, a host will have a brief discussion about the project with him, and then audience members will have an opportunity to share thoughts and ask questions.

This concert experience seeks to bridge difficult conversations through sharing art and story. Anyone and everyone’s presence and perspectives will be honoured and deeply appreciated.

It is FREE ENTRY, though Michael is raising funds to record this album, so donations are welcome.
