About

Quiet Houses are Jamie Stewart and Hannah Elliott, an Edinburgh-raised, London-based indie-pop duo making warm, romantic and quietly widescreen songs.

Having grown up together in Edinburgh, Jamie and Hannah got to know each other properly in their final years at school, bonding over music and taking the Megabus to Glasgow to see gigs. They later ended up at university in the same city, unplanned, where they spent their weeks going to shows, watching friends start bands and eventually finding themselves becoming one too.

Since then, Quiet Houses have released 3 EPs and built a growing world around their intimate, melodic songwriting, pairing tender, conversational lyrics with dreamy guitars, soft synth textures and hooks that feel both personal and immediate. Their songs often circle around love, early adulthood, friendship, uncertainty and the emotional detail of building a life in real time.

On the road, they have sold out headline shows in London, Edinburgh, Manchester and Glasgow, supported Esme Emerson, Tide Lines, Hailaker, Tennis and Dolores Forever, and appeared at festivals including Connect, Belladrum, Stones Throw, King Tuts New Year’s Revolution, Queens Park Glasgow and The Great Escape. They have also received strong support from BBC Introducing and Radio 1, were nominated for BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year 2024, and have picked up press support from CLASH, Wonderland, When The Horn Blows and Atwood Magazine, who described them as “ethereal, enchanting, dream pop at its finest.”

Their debut album, we’re all in love, arrives June 19th 2026. Written over three years in scattered moments between work, life and their early years in London, the record is shaped by Jamie and Hannah’s 10-year relationship, 6 years as a band, and the friendship that came before it. Warm, deeply personal and full of heart, it explores early adulthood through love in all its forms: how to find it, where to put it, how it changes, and what it means to keep choosing it.
