Grace Elizabeth Harvey is a folk singer-songwriter based in Liverpool. With a background as a classical cellist and student of literature and philosophy, she unites the traditional with the exploratory, to capture unflinchingly intimate and lyrically deft fragments of our experience. Her most recent EP Songs of Devotion, was written from deep within the tangles of language and love. Formed by train journeys, second-hand bookshops and borrowed sofas, what has presented itself is a collection of songs as dynamic and exploratory as they are simple. Fudned by the PPL Momentum Accerlerator Fund and praised by Gideon Coe (BBC Radio 6), Roddy Hart (BBC Scotland), BBC Introducing Merseyside, Clash & Rolling Stone, Grace is quickly proving herself to be of the UK’s finest emerging songwriters.
“Songwriting with timeless elegance"- Americana UK
"Really beautiful”- Roddy Hart, BBC Radio Scotland
"Something quite splendid indeed"- Gideon Coe, BBC Radio 6
“Shares something in common with early Laura Marling, Villagers or Joanna Newsom…Grace has a unique instinct for language”- God is in the TV
"A wonderful moment of zero gravity songwriting”- Clash
