Talks in the Pub, from the team behind Seed Talks. A pint, some pub snacks, and everything you never knew about modern communication.

We are running two talks this evening, for tickets to 'Being a Villager: Building community in a hectic world - Talks in the Pub’, please click here.

From using AI to draft breakup texts to leaning on social media clichés to explain our feelings, many of us have outsourced our emotional lives. But if we want to build genuine connections with others - and truly understand ourselves - we need to reclaim authentic communication.

In this talk, Dr Noah Martin explores what we sacrifice when we delegate our intimacy to algorithms and online trends. He will share practical strategies for sharpening your intuition, listening with genuine curiosity, and expressing yourself with clarity and confidence. Together we’ll explore how to fine-tune your bullshit detector, listen with curiosity, trust your judgment, and express yourself with confidence and clarity. This session is perfect for people who want to think for themselves, learn from each other, and live life on their own terms.

Doors open at 8pm, talk starts at 8:15pm - come down early to grab a good seat!
