Stealing Sheep - performing to Meshes In The Afternoon and At Land by Maya Deren.

Members of Stealing Sheep ~ Becky & Emily collaborate on a live score for Ukrainian female film maker Maya Deren. Noting her as an influential pioneer that has transformed their own approach to art direction and inspired their visual world building. They bring an eclectic array of instrumentation bringing the films to life with their own kaleidoscope sound design and original composition performed live at Futureyard

We at Moolakii Club are also super excited to work with these films.

Maya Deren and her husband Teiji Ito scored the music to MESHES OF THE AFTERNOON. The Maya Deren estate has gracefully and exceptionally allowed us to show these films with our own musical composition, in order to allow her work to inspire us, to reach our own creative heights.

"And what more could I possibly ask, as an artist, than that your most precious visions, however rare, assume, sometimes, the forms of my images."

- Maya Deren

Traindeer performing to La Jetee

South Cheshire’s Traindeer fuses breakbeats, chiptune, and ambient textures through vintage computers, vinyl samples, and tape loops. The music shifts fluidly between atmospheric soundscapes and rhythmic, hip-hop-inspired beats driven by warm, dusty synths.

La Jetée is a groundbreaking, sci-fi masterpiece told almost entirely through striking still photographs. Set in the ashes of a post-apocalyptic Paris, it follows a prisoner forced to travel through time in search of a lifeline for humanity's survival. Haunted by a vivid childhood memory of a woman on a pier, his journey blurs the lines between past, present, and fate. This hypnotic French short film is widely considered one of the greatest cinematic works ever made and directly inspired 12 Monkeys.

Loopfader - Wirral based ambient, psychedelic, and experimental audio-visual project created by Simon Kilgallon, a multidisciplinary artist, songwriter, music producer, and professional sound engineer.

Un Chien Andalou is a 1929 Un Chien Andalou - Wikipedia silent short film directed by Luis Buñuel and co-written with Salvador Dalí. It is a famous work of surrealist cinema inspired by the creators' dreams, such as a razor slicing an eye and ants crawling on a hand. The movie has no rational or traditional plot. Instead, it uses shocking, dreamlike imagery to explore themes of desire, sex, and human emotion.
