11 Years of The Night Institute!
We’re officially into our second decade of throwing parties, which is probably more hangovers than we’d care to count. We always maintain that the people make the party and we are blessed to share he good times with our community of likeminded souls - of which may have been there from day one! From unearthing gems of venues in Belfast to international trips to Ibiza and Croatia, it’s been a hell of a ride.
Join us on 18th July at Ulster Sports Club where Timmy and Jordan go the length in the club, while NYC legend Justin Strauss and Arveene take over the lounge downstairs!
The Lounge:
Few DJs could adequately represent the last three decades of New York nightclub history – no less do so with such iconic credentials as Justin Strauss. Since he was 17, when his first band was signed to Island Records, Justin has had a career that reads like a Who’s-Who of the music scene, spinning at nearly every dance club that you’d ever want to go to. Starting as DJ at New York’s legendary Mudd Club, he spun his way through The Ritz, Limelight, Area, Tunnel, M.K., Life, Centro Fly and more, pioneering his own distinctive sound, and becoming one of the most sought-after remixers and producers not just in New York, but in the world. He has worked with the gamut of artists – Depeche Mode, Hot Chip, Sergio Mendez, Tina Turner, Jimmy Cliff, B-52s, Luther Vandross, 808 State, Malcolm McClaren, Skinny Puppy, Goldfrapp, LCD Soundsystem to name a few and on over 200 records!
He's joined by Arveene - a Dj and Music producer from Dublin based in London & West Cork, He's toured with Liam Gallagher, Nightmares on Wax, The Prodigy and many more... His studio production has seen him remixing and producing for acts like Bon Voyage, The Prodigy, Kelis, Mango & Mathman, Saint Sister, Mr Oizo, Talos, Really Good Time, Ria Rua and more. He’s currently working on his first solo album with David Holmes & Andy Bell (Ride/Oasis)
