Tia Bow: Blackberry Path Album Launch + Clare Galway Support

Tia Bow launches her debut album Blackberry Path, a multidisciplinary live work combining songwriting, spoken word and video design, with a sound described by Hot Press as "bridging folk, rock and electronica."

The critically acclaimed performance is characterised by Allan Leonard in Slugger O'Toole as "richer for weaving personal story with universal experiences, inspired by specific places and human connection, and speaking to everyone on its journey."

Produced by Michael Mormecha, the album features Clare Galway, who will open the night with a solo set before joining Danny Trouton and Tia Bow for the Sound of Belfast Festival album launch.

About Tia Bow

Tia Bow is the artist name of Belfast songwriter and performer Fionnuala Fagan-Thiébot. Her work has developed through a longstanding interest in place, memory, oral history and personal experience, with songwriting at its centre.

Her earlier work drew extensively on the stories and memories of other people, including communities and individuals connected to particular places. With Tia Bow, she turns that focus inward, using her own experiences and observations as the starting point for a more personal body of work.

Her musical background spans folk, contemporary songwriting, sound art and interdisciplinary performance. She has released music independently and her recordings are archived at the British Library. Her work has been presented in Ireland and internationally, and she has collaborated with musicians and artists across a range of disciplines.

Blackberry Path represents a new chapter in this ongoing artistic journey, bringing together the different strands of Tia Bow's practice through a body of deeply personal songs.

About Clare Galway

Clare Galway is a Belfast-born multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter of Irish and Filipino heritage. A classically trained violinist, she combines her musical training with a distinctive soulful vocal style and a strong connection to Celtic storytelling.

Through her work as a session musician, teacher, choir conductor and musical director, Clare has collaborated across a wide range of musical settings. She has performed across three continents with ensembles including McPEAKE and The Winding Stair, and has also appeared on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury Festival.

Her own music draws on soulful, gospel-influenced vocals and storytelling, exploring themes of love, loss and human connection.

Clare joins Tia Bow and Danny Trouton for the Blackberry Path album launch.
