Parakeet Promotions are working with Anaka Women's Collective to raise money for those who have been rendered homeless or have otherwise been adversely affected by the recent race riots across Northern Ireland.
Each of the acts selected have their own stories regarding racism and division in NI, particularly headlining act Touzai whose latest single "Tiger Song" made headlines in the Belfast Telegraph and elsewhere last year. The song was written by singer Ethan Hollan during the pandemic when hate towards Asians was rampant, and talks about a desire to belong in his hometown where he grew up, something that many found relatable, especially now with the third year in a row of race riots.
Support acts Black Turf and REFLECT have their own unique stories on the subject and are activists within their own rights, particularly Black Turf vocalist Tristan Lamar who has been vocal about the failures of our government in dealing with the hatred that is rife within our city.
All proceeds will be going to Anaka.
