The Songs of Noel Gallagher

“I have been playing Noel Gallagher’s songs for most of my life. As a songwriter myself, his music has been a huge influence on me — from the songs I first learned to play on guitar to the way I think about melody, lyrics and songwriting today.

The Songs of Noel Gallagher is something I’ve wanted to put together for a long time. I’ve brought together some of my favourite musicians from Belfast to perform songs from across Noel’s career, from the Oasis years through to Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

This isn’t about trying to impersonate Noel or recreate an Oasis show. It’s about the songs. Great songs played live by great musicians, and a room full of people who know and love them.

There are songs in this catalogue that have been with people for decades — songs connected to nights out, friendships, relationships, growing up and different periods of our lives. I know that’s certainly true for me.

So on Sunday 29 November, we’re bringing those songs to the Oh Yeah Music Centre in Belfast for one night.
