To celebrate the book release of Inflammable Material by Kevin Dunn, the Oh Yeah! Centre will be hosting a panel discussion and Q&A session about Belfast punk during The Troubles. Panelists include Kevin Dunn (author), Henry Cluney (ex-SLF, XSLF), Brian Young (ex-RUDI, Sabrejets), and Stuart Bailie (author of Trouble Songs: Music and Conflict in Northern Ireland). The event will include acoustic sets by Henry Cluney and Brian Young.
The 200th volume in Bloomsbury’s esteemed 33 1/3 book series, Dunn’s Inflammable Material explores Stiff Little Fingers; their classic 1979 debut album, regarded as one of the most influential punk releases of all time; and their complicated relationship with Belfast, The Troubles, and the historic Belfast punk scene striving to imagine an “Alternative Ulster.”
