XYZ Presents: SubCulture
XYZ Events proudly presents the launch ofSubCulture, a brand-new Drum & Bass event built for those who believe world-class events shouldn't be limited to the major cities.
Our vision is simple: create a home for underground Drum & Bass in Somerset, bringing world-class artists together with the South West's finest local talent. We're creating a destination for Drum & Bass lovers from Wells, Glastonbury, Frome, Street, Shepton Mallet, Bath, Bristol and beyond.
For our debut, we're proud to welcome two true icons of the scene.
A globally respected producer and DJ whose unmistakable blend of Drum & Bass, reggae and bass music has made him one of the genre's most influential names. Expect everything from timeless favourites to fresh productions and high-energy selections.
A true pioneer of Jungle and Drum & Bass. With decades at the forefront of the scene, Brockie continues to deliver the raw energy and authentic sound that helped shape the culture we know today.
One of the UK's most respected Drum & Bass hosts, renowned for his commanding stage presence, effortless flow and years of experience alongside some of the biggest names in the scene.
Representing Bristol, MC Kali Mist combines his roots in hip-hop with a powerful Drum & Bass delivery. His energy and crowd interaction have made him one of the South West's most exciting rising MCs.
SubCulture is about more than bringing legendary names to Somerset. It's about showcasing the incredible talent thriving across the South West.
Hailing from Glastonbury, 3SEVEN6 are a four-piece DJ collective named after the iconic First Bus 376 route connecting Glastonbury and Bristol. They gained recognition after performing a Drum & Bass set on top of a real double-decker 376 bus during Glastonbury Carnival.
Representing Bath, CLOVA has become one of the South West's standout Drum & Bass artists, with appearances at Westfest, Clock Factory and Born on Road Festival.
Two passionate local DJs joining forces for a special back-to-back set, showcasing the strength of Somerset's growing Drum & Bass scene.
Known for bringing high-energy sets packed with seamless double drops and relentless Drum & Bass, Skanky General delivers a versatile mix spanning liquid, rollers, jump-up, neuro and dancefloor. Having performed at respected venues and events including Motion, Blue Mountain, O2 Academy and VALVE, he brings heavyweight selections and an atmosphere built to keep the crowd moving from start to finish.
Known for his deep selections and smooth blends, Waxfarmer brings his own flavour of Drum & Bass and a wealth of passion for the underground scene.
A great event deserves great production.
The production team behind SubCulture brings over 20 years of experience in lighting design and live event production, with a background working on some of the UK's most iconic Drum & Bass and rave events, including Westfest, Transmission and numerous Slammin Vinyl productions.
That experience now comes to Wells, with professional lighting, quality sound and attention to detail ensuring the production matches the quality of the lineup.
While cities like Bristol have long been at the heart of Drum & Bass culture, we believe those same unforgettable experiences should be accessible across the wider South West.
SubCulture isn't just another one-off event. It's the beginning of a community built around a shared passion for Drum & Bass, giving local talent the opportunity to share the stage with some of the biggest names in the scene.
Whether you've followed the scene for years or you're discovering Drum & Bass for the first time, SubCulture is a place where everyone is welcome.
