A database has been set up to help queer and trans people in the events and music industry get bookings.

The Queer Artist Database currently features over 350 artists, performers, and others seeking work in the events and music industry, with details about where they’re based, their genres and skills, and links to their work, such as Soundcloud and Instagram profiles.

The database is open for queer-identifying artists based in the UK and abroad, with all identities and genres welcome. Artists can share as much or as little information as they choose.

Created by Freak Queer Rave, the database was set up to “support queer artists and increase representation across our community on event and festival lineups”.

Freak has said that “venues, promoters, and festivals are officially committing to using the database when planning their future lineups for 2025 & 2026.”

In a post on Instagram, Freak said Bent, Filth, The Warehouse Project, High Hoops, The DBA, and Birmingham Pride are among promoters and venues that have used the database to book talent for events.

As well as helping people get bookings for events, the database can also be used to find collaborators and allow people to connect to their creative communities.

Among the artists in the database are some of the staples of the scene, including Aiden Francis, Peach, Jase Jeffrey, Mix-Stress, Danny Roach, Shanika Sunrise, HØLEIGH, and Meg Ward.
