Comedy festival to take over Liverpool’s Blackstock Market in September

Hot Water Comedy Club is putting on a festival from Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th September 2026 at Blackstock Market in Liverpool, with comedy, music, food, and drinks. 

Created, funded, and delivered by the team behind the city’s Hot Water Comedy Club, the brand-new festival aims to “celebrate everything that makes Liverpool one of the best comedy cities in the world.” 

Blackstock Market will become a festival village for four days, with entertainment and experiences for all ages.

The festival will see over 70 comedy shows run across multiple stages and performance spaces, featuring household names, podcasts (Lady Bits Podcast, Toilet Talk Podcast, Hot Water's Green Room Podcast), rising stars, one-off specials, and local legends. 

Among those confirmed to be performing are Paul Smith, Jamie Hutchinson, Crissy Rock, Adam Rowe, Danny McLoughlin, Katie Tracey, Ignacio Lopez, and Ricky Tomlinson.

Outside the laughs, there’ll be live music, family entertainment, street food, bars, games, and activities, including comedy for kids, an outdoor funfair, whisky tasting with comedians, dancers, and a full venue party.
