Hannah Laing has opened a new community-focused studio in her hometown of Dundee.
The new state-of-the-art recording studio will offer different types of membership, tutorship, and a free DJ programme.
Located inside the multi-purpose community hub Change Centre Dundee (formerly the Lynch Sports Centre) on South Road, the studio is “aimed at transforming lives in Dundee” and "inspiring generations of new DJs and producers” from the city.
The studio will be operated by Turn The Tables in partnership with Street Soccer and Hannah Laing.
Fully refurbished to a professional standard following a Crowdfunding campaign, doof Studios will offer affordable rates for anyone who wants to use it, with booking fees going to free access and “hundreds of hours” of free lessons each year for people facing financial barriers, as well as those affected by homelessness, mental ill health, crime, or disabilities.
Anyone who wants to get involved in any capacity can email hello@turnthetables.co.uk.
Free DJ lessons will be run by Turn The Tables. You can contact Turn The Tables via their website.
Information on private studio booking will be released this week.
