Youth Talent Showcase is coming to Midlothian! Saturday 14th of April 2018!

As part of Scotland?s official national events programme to celebrate Scotland?s Year of Young People 2018, The Youth Radio Network is organising a Youth Talent Showcase in Midlothian.

The Youth Talent Showcase will be held on Saturday 14th of April 2018 and will see amazing acts such as Little Voices Big Stars, Sam Carlin, LDD Dance and many more!

Designed and created by The Youth Radio Network, Youth Talent Showcase has received funding from the Create18 events programme, a fund administered by a group of young people called Communic18, with support from Young Scot, on behalf of EventScotland, part of Visit Scotland?s Events Directorate.

Event Team Leader and CEO / Founder of The Youth Radio Network (Keiran Harvey 16) from Gorebridge, said:

?The Youth Radio Network is proud to be hosting the Youth Talent Showcase 2018 it is going to be great. We always like to showcase young people?s talent and what a fantastic way we are doing this. We?re really looking forward to seeing people from across Midlothian and Scotland coming together to celebrate the Year of Young People 2018 with us. I would personally like to put a big thank you out to our main supporter and Funder Create 18 as well as YOYP 2018, Young Scot and Midlothian Youth Platform for supporting this event.?

The Youth Radio Network completed a funding application and will be working with other partners in their community such as Midlothian Youth Platform and Life Long Learning and Employability ? Midlothian Council, as well as the National Mining Museum Scotland to make the Youth Talent Showcase a huge success. Around 120 ? 150 are expected to attend the Youth Talent Showcase

The National Mining Museum Scotland, a registered Scottish charity based at the former Lady Victoria Colliery in Newtongrange. National Mining Museum Scotland said, ?We are delighted to support the Youth Talent Showcase as part of their programme of events for the Year of Young People 2018.?
The Create18 Fund has given young people an opportunity to celebrate Year of Young People 2018 with an exciting event in the local area, and the chance to generate better understanding and respect between generations. Through organising this event, the team can show that young people are a true asset to their local community.
