We've always had a soft spot for vinyl her at Skiddle, so with the announcement of Defected Records new series The Record Room, our interest was naturally piqued.
In the brand new run of short films, Defected enter the inner sanctums of some of the label's major players, and encourage them to delve into their enormous wax collections, digging out treats and rarities that show the full breadth of their musical persuasions.
First up is house music legend Joey Negro - a disco loving, pioneering producer and vinyl junkie whose career has spanned thirty years and spawned a wealth of underground and crossover hits. In the video, Joey Negro, real name Dave Lee gives us a brief glimpse into the wax that has influenced and affected him, ranging from disco to soul, via hip hop and house. Watch it below.
