This year has been Relentless presents Here To Be Heard?s biggest yet, with hundreds of bands entering the competition over the past two months. The ultimate and unrivalled platform to showcase emerging musical talent, Here To Be Heard returned this year with Mercury-nominated band Everything Everything as judges. The band has narrowed the submissions down to five exciting acts who are now battling it out to win a slot on stage at Reading Festival.
Each finalist has been mentored by the Manchester-based band to give them the best chance of winning as they enter the final stage of the competition, as well as for them to glean as much advice from a band that has made it in today?s competitive music industry.
Everything Everything on selecting the finalists: ?The standard and diversity of the entries really blew us away. It?s brilliant to hear so much varied talent, and that there are people who are passionate about making good music and following their own pathways. The finalists we chose are a pretty eclectic mix, but that's typical of us, and being touched or moved by music goes way deeper than any notion of style or genre. Having spent a bit of time with all five acts, we?re sure they will all go on to great things. They all know who they are and what they're doing. We're just glad we don't have to pick the winner!?

North London quintet Hunck formed in mid-2014, cultivating a sound that ties together slacker rock and dream pop. Since self-releasing their debut cassette EP 'Something Missing' and online single 'So Far, So Deep', the band has been featured in magazines such as NME, DIY and iCreate, played regularly on Triple J and 4ZZZ and supported Radio 1 darlings VANT. Hunck are currently recording their debut LP, due for release early 2016 with the next single being released this August.

In their words: ?Good looking European rapper/producer duo (20 something) would like to meet audience for good times and potentially more, must be into bars, beats, & Cameron Frye?
rryrry

rryrry is the free toy in the cereal box of modern music. Championed by BBC Radio 6 and described by Tom Robinson as ?the real thing?, rryrry is an eclectic composer/producer/performer who moved from the classical realm to make a more interesting music. It is noisy and intimate; sad and euphoric; fast and sedate.
Shields

Shields formed in Spring 2011, with a united desire to create something that would stand apart from everything else. A Shields performance is characterised by their unmatched bright and colourful energy. The music they write is powerful and dynamic, consisting of layers of harmony, pounding rhythms, fuzzy guitars and shimmering synths. They've teamed up with Grammy Award winning producer Adrian Bushby (Foo Fighters, Muse, Everything Everything) to complete their debut album.
Weirds

Four-piece swamp rockers, Weirds, are a big riff meets half-arsed bastard child who reside on damp yet arid terrain. Weirds have taken influence from bands such as The Fall, Sonic Youth, Kyuss and Drive Like Jehu to create a savage live show that was once described by Paul Smith of NME Magazine as ?like a vulture ravaging a corpse?.
