Amsterdam hard techno party Verknipt broke the Guinness World Record for “world’s largest laser show” at Verknipt ArenA 2025.
Over the weekend on Saturday 19th July, during Verknipt’s final arena event at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, the hard techno party broke the record in front of a crowd of around 40,000 people.
Just before midnight, 1,100 lasers in a "specially choreographed" lightshow lit up the arena just before Winson took to the stage for his performance.
Taking to Instagram, the Verknipt team said, "We set the tone and quite literally wrote history."
The title was previously held by Dubai Racing Club during the Dubai World Cup 2021, which featured 824 lasers.
Artists on the lineup for the night included Cloudy B2B NOVAH, Nico Moreno, DYEN B2B Fantasm, Basswell B2B Onlynumbers, CARV B2B HOLY PRIEST, and more.
Running from 9pm until 7am, the event also saw artists performing on a huge 360-degree stage.
It was the brand’s final ever Verknipt ArenA event, but the team will continue running events, saying, “We’re not going anywhere. This is just the beginning.”
