UNICON - Buxton's Comic Con returns!

Sunday 20th November will see The Devonshire Dome once again host High Peak's very own Comic Con, "UNICON!" Visitors to the Buxton event will again be able to immerse themselves in the Comic Con world and enjoy another great event. Organiser Steven Howard commented "Our debut event took place in May and was so well received that we simply had to do it again. We are hoping this forthcoming event will appeal to even more people and put Buxton and The Devonshire Dome on the Comic Con map? Visitors will be treated to Displays inc. The Superheroes Full Size Bat Signal Display, Game of Thrones Collection Display, The Sons of Skaro Daleks (with at least 6 Daleks) and much more. Lightning McQueen will be returning and we hope to have other Star Cars but that will be weather dependent. On it's first outing, Walking Dead fans will get a chance to see our event exclusive Photo Op. and not stopping there Harry Potter fans will also have a first look at our Fantastic Beasts Photo Op. and find out about our new Magical Potter event coming to Buxton in 2017. There will be plenty of photo opportunities with Costumers/Cosplayers inc. Batman, Captain America, Iron Man, Iron Patriot, Spiderman, Baymax, Red Baymax, Ghostbusters, East Midlands Garrison Star Wars Characters, Gaming Characters, Pikachu, Halo and many more. For Pokemon Go fans we will be loading all 4 Pokestops all day so there will be lots of Pokemon to catch. We will have Stalls selling Action Figures, Comic's, Artwork, Retro Games, Books, Lego, TV Memorabilia, Collectables, Handmade Goods, Unique Fudge and more. There will be Signing Guests from TV/Movies and this time we will have: Miltos Yerolemou (Syrio) & Ross O'Hessessy (Lord of Bones) both known for Game of Thrones and Miltos for his recent roll in Star Wars Force Awakens, Dave Benson Phillips (CBBC Legend), Phill Martin (Prometheus) and Zara L Phythian (Dr Strange) - Guests will also be taking part in unique talks throughout the day. For the visitor who likes to dress (Cosplay) for the occasion there will be Cosplay Competitions with prizes. Costume Groups East Midlands Garrison will be keeping Imperial Order - keep your eye out for Lord Vader and Stormtroopers looking for Droids or those mischievous Jawa's up to no good once again - all of our Costumers are happy to stop for a photo and love putting a smile on visitors faces. Steven added "it's always hard to produce a sequel but I think with a few surprises in store, hopefully we have something for everyone".
