It has been over 40 years since the Tiviot Dale Showground, which is within Reddish Vale Country park, has been used for horse shows. Now local entertainment company Redmox Leisure and Stockport Council are bringing the showground back into use with their Screamania Halloween attraction. Over the October half term, the showground will be filled with massive marquees hosting spooky mazes, animation shows and live actors to offer an all immersive experience that will delight and entertain children of all ages.

Nick Moxham, director of Redmox Leisure, stated "Reddish Vale is a wonderful park full of open spaces, woodlands and the River Tame flowing through it. The showground was created many years ago primarily for horse shows but quickly fell into disrepair. It is a brilliant space to use, very accessible to the local people and it is a shame it has been so long since it has been used. Our attraction will offer some spooky interactive entertainment and bring families into the park".

There will be plenty to do. There will be spooky trick or treat trail led by an actor through the park and the Spooky Arena challenge ? a unique mix of a crystal maze type challenge, a treasure hunt, live actors and cutting edge technology. After the Halloween activities, children can go on the electric go karts, body zorbs and play disc golf with their parents.
