After well over 2500 fans saw Sunset 2 Sunrise delivered a rip roaring rave up at Blackpool’s north pier on 28th September, it was only a matter of time before the minds behind of one of the most unique festivals in the country turned their attention onto their next project. And here it is, a fittingly entitled The Winter Wonderland taking over iconic Park Hall venue in Chorley on Boxing Day.
Highlights from Sunset 2 Sunrise
Boasting a 2000 person capacity, as well as an adjacent 400 capacity Medieval church, S2S’s long search for a venue both big and original enough to host their winter epic has reached fruition with fantastic results. With a 140 room hotel also on the grounds, all the ingredients are in place for an almighty Boxing Day blowout combined with a mini break away from the aftermath of a potentially stressful Christmas.
As was the case with both parts of Sunset 2 Sunrise, no expense has been spared when it comes down to production values. Cutting edge lighting displays, sound design and mind-blowing decor will all be present and correct to bring 2013 to an unparalleled climax.
With none of the headliners announced yet, keep checking back for more information. The set up thus far though has the main room hosting classic house and UK garage, the medieval church with its more intimate size will be filled with deep and tech house for those that like their raves a bit darker, and the courtyard will host a variety of house music in all it glorious forms.
More is yet to be revealed, but its hard to think of anywhere that’s going to deliver a Boxing Day party of this sort of magnitude!
