The Sunflower Playlist Festival is here - a new festival in the heart of Brereton, Cheshire. This exciting ray of sunshine is brought together by a North West based business Slice of Nice Music & Events - A team that isn?t new to delivering festivals and production.

Over the years, the trio of Directors Paul Owen, Denis Ferrige, Dawn Roach and the wider team have worked on many UK festivals such as Leeds, Reading, Latitude and smaller North West festivals including Blackthorn Music Festival, and from conception The Rum 100 to name a few. The team are passionate gig goers, music lovers, and supporters of the arts. The Sunflower Playlist Festival is going to celebrate exactly that: art, culture and the wonderful array of music we have here in the North West.

Dawn, one of the Festival Directors said, "We?re so excited about our new festival. As a business we?ve had a year out after The Rum 100 Festival as it was a big leap forward as a new business. We also relocated the business at the end of 2019 which has kept us busy. Now we?ve launched our new brand, with a beautiful piece of land and a great setting, we can?t wait!"

"We want to engage with the creative community around us and we?d love everyone to help us paint a perfect picture of what a festival should be: inclusive, open and a means to express yourself. Either as an artist or a festival goer, we will provide a platform to enjoy music - and the wondrous things we have planned will do just that."

The festival organisers are so much more than just festival organisers. Paul and Denis are both deeply engrained within the music scene with their fingers on the pulse of what?s worthy of your attention. The pair are also Radio and TV Broadcasters. From conception, they launched their very own TV music show on Channel 7 Freeview/YouView called Big Slice Music Show - a show that brought together the very best in new music on That?s Manchester TV! The team are carefully crafting a superb mix of talent for this year?s festival.

Paul said, "The line-up we?re putting together excites us and we?re confident it?ll blow festival goers socks (and wellies) off!" Paul also eagerly added, "With such a range of genres that transcends generations, we?ll have music from Indie Rock 'n' Roll bands such as local legends King Kartel who are tipped for big things. We?ll have one of Manchester?s favourites funk & soul band?s, NGUVU, who I?m personally taking timeout at the festival to enjoy! We?re also lucky to have scooped Last Race Home with their foot stomping, hard bitten northern melancholy and uplifting anthems - they sing songs of hard drinking, love, gritty northern realism, romanticism and heartbreak and are guaranteed to raise the proverbial roof at the festival as well as a smile and the odd tear!"

Denis who is also a front man in a band takes pride in the artists the festival books to play. He believes in investing time in the musicians of tomorrow and said, "We?ll have solo and acoustic artists playing their own original material with local lad John Dhali from Congleton and Singer Song Writer Scott Edwards from Sandbach."

The festival have kept a few announcements up their selves for now, so keep your eyes peeled for more announcements due on the entertainment front.

The festival will also have a Silent Disco and a range of tasty foods for all palette?s along with a well-stocked bar! Dawn added, "We may be a little festival this year, but we love that. A festival which people can call their own and with a personality, full of character. One thing for sure is we know how to entertain and throw a good festival - creating memories that will last a lifetime."

The festival will take place on the 6th June 2020, in Brereton, Cheshire, and with limited numbers due to licencing restrictions for this year?s event, tickets are expected to sell out and quickly.

The festival is well connected and easy to find, if you are driving or using public transport you can?t go wrong. The team have kindly thrown in free parking and camping to take the worry out of driving home late, so you can relax, drink, have fun and soak up the Sunflower Playlist Festival in all its glory.
