Baltic Beer Garden

When: Opening times vary, check their website for details

Where: Beaufort St, Liverpool L8 5XJ

Offering up afternoon eats and chilled beats, the Baltic Triangle's very own beer garden is a must-visit when looking for a cheeky pint with your pals. Based in Cains Brewery Village, the half-sheltered half-open hangar has an excellent range of locally brewed drinks alongside a range of tongue-tingling street food scran that comes together for a top experience.

Not only this but the place is a massive suntrap thanks to the lack of surrounding buildings, which means you'll leave impressively sunkissed, or maybe even a little red if you're not careful (Brits in the sun eh). But if you're after a nice day out in the city centre then this Liverpool Beer Garden should be first on the list.

Phase One

Phase One is an awesome little venue in Liverpool set up by record label Jacaranda Records. With a capacity of just 300 people, it’s an intimate place where you can both catch some of your favourite bands up close, or spend a night in the beer garden chatting away with those closest to you. The unique venue has so many options too, it can be the place you come for an after-hours booze or the place you sit down with a coffee, and let's not forget the on-site record store which houses 10,000 vinyl albums.

So whilst on the quainter side, this is one of Liverpool's best beer gardens to just have a lay back and chat, but be warned, it can get a little busy when the gigs are on.

The Pen Factory

When: 11am - 11pm Tuesday and Wednesday, 11am - 12am Thursday to Saturday, Closed Sunday and Monday

Where: 13 Hope St, Liverpool L1 9BQ

Now a little one for those of you with a more refined taste, who want to avoid the potentially lary weekend crowd. The Pen Factory is Hope Streets relaxed Bistro and Bar, found next to the Everyman Theatre. That does mean its a frequent for the theatre crowd, but, when the suns out, this cosy place becomes host to a crowd of people who are after that more relaxed pint (one might say sophisticated). It's absolutely gorgeous and the food, served from its theatrical open kitchen, is divine, and well worth a visit for that alone.

Whilst this may not be the most traditional of Liverpool beer gardens, it certainly provides something that the others don't, and with an excellent range of cask ales, continental lagers and wines, what can go wrong?

Kazimier Garden

When: 12pm - 11:30pm Every day

Where: 32 Seel St, Liverpool L1 4BE

Last, but certainly not least is The Kazimier Garden, a beautiful outdoor space belonging to the iconic Liverpudlian music venue the Kazimier. It's one of the most popular beer gardens once the sun starts shining, which means they operate a 'one-in-one-out' policy to make sure overcrowding never spoils the chilled, easy-going atmosphere. The beer garden itself is an inner-city slice of old times, with wooden everything and a sawdust floor, it can sometimes feel a bit like a western (just without the proper f****** shootouts).

Kazimier garden just knows what's up, with a wide range of beer and a reputation for great live music, it should be on everyone's to-visit list, you don't know what you're missing out on (just make sure to get there early so you don't actually miss out.)
