THE MOODS LAND "GRAMMY AWARD WINNER", FOR NEW SINGLE

The Moods announce release of their new single Carnival on the 20TH July to coincide with major UK summer tour dates. The single will be mixed at the world-famous Metropolis Studios, by Grammy award winner, Paul Norris.

A1M records today announced that the new single "Carnival" from the Northwest?s top Urban, drum & bass, EDM dance collective, The Moods, will Be Mixed at the world-famous Metropolis Studios, by Grammy award winner, Paul Norris. Paul Has previously worked with a host of major top 10 artists. (Credits include, (Alicia Keys / Gorillaz / Ed Sheeran / Rihanna / Jessie J / Jess Glynne / Emeli Sande/ Kygo / Duffy / LOOP & Black-Eyed Peas). Paul, won a 2104 Grammy, for Rihanna?s album Unapologetic & he was nominated for his work with on ?X? with Ed Sheeran?s producer Johnny McDaid. Carnival is set for digital release on the 20th July, to coincide with a massive summer of festival shows and gigs across the UK from May through September.

Carnival?, features Jamaican born artist ?Tixxy Bang? and celebrates; summer, festival life, good times good friends & great music. It provides the soundtrack to festival season and the perfect dance anthem for summer 2018. Carnival, elicits an infectious need to dance from its opening bars and exudes summer time vibes. It puts a smile on your lips, gets you in a party mood and brings the carnival atmosphere to you all summer long. The party starts on the 19th May with an appearance on the BBC introducing stage at the Highest point festival, Lancaster. This will be recorded live and broadcast on BBC radio.

After a monumental 2017, the moods are set for a massive summer festival season stretching from May through September. This band is immense live and really blows audiences away, The carnival tour will be the fourth major UK tour of the last 8 months, that has seen 20,000 people in 16 different venues, 12 cities and towns see the Moods play live.

They share the stage at the Highest Point Festival with some major international indie and dance acts, who include, Ocean Colour Scene, Cast, Hacienda Classical, Rae Morris, Hospital Records DJ?s. They open the main stage at Moovin Festival, for De La Soul, Goldie and Stereo MCS. They play the main stage at Audio Soup, headline Stramash 900+ venue at the Edinburgh fringe, and have a major London appearance, headlining a Camden rocks all-nighter at Nambucca. The band also appear at smaller Urban Dance Festivals, Stampede and, Sonderfest. With forthcoming support slots with the likes of: The Skints, Undercover Hippy, MC righteous, Lowkey, and Jeramiah Ferrari. Roll on Summer.

The Moods

The Northwest?s premier Urban, Drum & Bass, EDM dance Collective, and described as "Rage Against the Machine, The Prodigy and The Happy Monday?s mixed, into a grime-soufflé". This 10-strong band unifies rap, brass, and strings, delivering a unique fusion of urban dance styles. After a monumental 2017, the moods accelerate into summer 2018 at an exponential rate. This is music for the head and for the heart, "it will make you dance and make you think".

Formed in 2014, A dizzying amalgamation of producers and poets, they swiftly honed their very own sound, which, when taken live, quite simply blew their audiences away. Combining drum & bass, reggae, hip-hop and EDM, The Moods? mighty music sparks off a contagious need to dance, underpinned, with real grit & substance. "It?s all about the bpm, and the feel of playing it live". All ten moods bring their own unique style and energy to a live performance, "they create a true carnival atmosphere and the crowd always join in the party before the first song is over."

Their Debut Album ?Missing Peace? was released in September and achieved a phenomenal impact. Physical and download sales in over 24 countries, hundreds of thousands of streams and stellar reviews. Two massive Singles, Joy and P.O.P (Profit over People) achieved multiple plays on BBC Lancashire & Sheffield, with 35 other UK, regional and student FM stations, with global internet radio stations broadcasting tracks from missing peace to over 100 countries, and videos racking up in excess of 40,000 views on U-Tube, Facebook, & Vevo TV.
